Mr. Antonysamy, working in bank was leading a miserable life with his hearing loss. He was facing problems at work when customers communicate in low voice while dealing with cash transactions and he has to rely on his subordinates. As his communication is mostly with the customers, he was finding it difficult to satisfy the customers. He had to strain a lot to understand their queries and conversation.
The saddest part of his life was that he could not listen to the sermon or participate in the Church. He used to avoid all the family functions. He wanted to find a solution for all his problems. One day he went hearing loss screaming camp at velankanni church. He was found to be having hearing loss and was advised to visit the centre for further detailed audiological evaluation. One day he visited the centre and was fitted with suitable Hearing Aid.
Initially he did not use the hearing aid due to his shyness. He started using his hearing aid only at work as he felt that there was no other alternative. After using the hearing aid, he found himself comfortable in communicating with his subordinates and customers. This helped him to work effectively. In his personal life he could enjoy TV. He could communicate with his family members and attend services in church. He enjoys life as he enjoyed in younger days. He stated that when he realized the use of Hearing Aid, he doesn't feel shy and he could not think a life without Hearing Aid.
During the conversation with his wife, she said that she was happy about her husband using hearing aid. Before using hearing aid, she and her children used to tease him about his hearing loss in his presence, which he could not hear. But now with hearing aid he even hears people talking secretly. She feels so happy that all her problems due to lack of communication with her husband were solved with hearing aid.
